Final Post

 https://alpha-asian.blogspot.com/p/alpha-asian-mindset.html

I'll keep this short and sweet: this will be my final post. If you're a long time reader, then I hope the posts and videos have inspired you in some way. If you're new to this blog, then I encourage you to explore all the material I've aggregated over the years. Should you find a video post that no longer works, let me know and I'll remove it.

@Mojo Rider,

Feel free to keep posting when inspiration hits. I've valued your insights, and I thank you for sharing them with us on this blog.

Sorry to hear that! I'm a long time lurker and regular reader. Hope it turns out to be temporary.

Thanks Ben! I can't foresee whether this is temporary or not. But the blogosphere is infinite, so there's always someone such as yourself and Big WoWo to fill my place.

Good post on the history of the AA gender gap BTW.
Alpha,

I just wanted to come by and thank you for your invaluable thoughts and contributions to the Asian male struggle. Dude, I will miss you. If you ever need someone to talk to, you know where to find us. I hope you continue to leave this space open for others to research.

Love,

TMM

Thanks, Brother Militant!

AA men have a lot of confidence and esteem issues, despite being (as a whole) quite talented and smart. We get our egos bruised from a lot of different sources.

Our confidence is constantly under attack from without (a white supremacist media, bigoted non-Asians, racist stereotypes that block or impede our opportunities) and from within (our ancestral cultures, our parents and even Asian women).

I started the idea of an Alpha Asian to show that each of us has the will to reinvent one's self. If you're smart and talented, then you have the ability to define your image and hence to define your image in the minds of other people.

I've said enough with this blog, and I find that there are now lots of AA male bloggers who are saying what's on all of our minds.

I will leave with one final thought: the modern Asian guy is too nice. I find too many Asians make self-deprecating racial jokes in an effort to get on the good side of non-Asians. They use pre-emptive racism. They think that by becoming deferential and obsequious yellow lap dogs, that they will earn the respect of white people.

No one respects one who does not respect himself.

You can't be a nice guy all the time. You have to turn on the asshole switch every so often, so that people don't fuck with you.

i only bring this point up, because I know a lot of "nice" Asian guys, and I've seen them getting taken advantage of in so many aspects of their lives.

For all you nice Asian guys, I suggest you rethink your metaphor for life. Your ancestors thought of life as war, because they were literally fighting for survival all the time. There is a reason why Confucian societies are hierarchical: they are para-miltary in structure. Each family is like a platoon.

I recently listened to an NPR interview with a prison librarian, and he said the most requested book was "The 48 Laws of Power."

Now this is not a book that I would recommend to people who lack a moral compass. But the problem with nice Asian guys is that blindly they believe in the good of others and take things at face value. Their moral compass is stuck. So they need to learn how to switch to dickhead mode every so often.

So get out there and shake things up. be an asshole every once in a while.

Thanks for all the work you've done, not just here but on your sister site. I understand that life demands get in the way; that's why I've been sporadic in checking in and elsewhere and just finding this out now...

I'll try and post stuff now and then; I've had some ideas crashing around in my head---no time to fully flesh them out, though.

I hope it's just a temporary suspension of the blog; your advocacy of improving the AA male with your posts about physical fitness, relationships, psychology, etc..is to be commended. I'll miss your posts that highlight the good work done by AA males. Hope we can stay in touch occasionally offline.

Thanks Mojo. Myself and everybody on Big WoWo have been impressed by your level headedness and reasoning. I'm glad that I have you as a co-blogger.

Hm, two of my favorite AA blogs are done. First Better Asian Man and then you.

It's been great knowing you through the post, James, and thanks for the inspirations. Good life ahead as a husband, a father, and an Asian-American man.

from the Old Country,

Thanks Mario.

Will from BAM had the right concept: if you improve the lives of Asian males, then an improved image of the Asian male follows. He focused specifically on attraction and romantic skills, whereas with the Alpha Asian blog, I wanted to extend that idea of improving one's self to multiple areas: physique, leadership, psychology, relationships, etc.
